James VanMilder is a Managing Director at Nomura Greentech.

Based in New York, James leads the Nomura Greentech Equity Capital Markets effort. James has more than 18 years of investment banking experience executing 450+ bookrun equity offerings of which 160+ were on a Lead Left basis raising total proceeds of over $180bn.

James’s recent transaction experience includes executing Enlight’s $289m and Mobileye’s $990m U.S. IPOs as a Joint Bookrunner. James also advised on Vertical Aerospace’s $100m Equity Subscription Line, where Nomura was the Sole Purchaser.

Prior to joining Nomura Greentech in 2021, James was a Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse for 5 years and before that at BofA Merrill Lynch for 8 years. James began his career as a surface warfare officer in the U.S. Navy, serving onboard USS ARLEIGH BURKE (DDG 51), USS COMSTOCK (LSD 45), USS ROBERT G BRADLEY (FFG 49) and USS TAYLOR (FFG 50).

James received his MBA from University of Virginia’s Darden Business School and his BS in Economics from the US Naval Academy.
